One of the front runners of the African hip hop revolution, ProVerb has two critically acclaimed albums under his belt with a third one, Write of Passage (Gallo) coming out in early 2009.

After nine years in the industry Tebogo Thekiso aka ProVerb, has built himself a career in the world of entertainment with his ‘lyrical skill’.

In 2004 he released his official debut album, The Book of ProVerb, through independent record label Outrageous Records. This album featured the massive singles “I have a dream”, “Microphone Sweet Home” and “Heart Beat”.

Later that year he added another notch to his list of collaborations (including Zubz, Optical illusion, Twistyle, and Selwyn) by working with local rock band Tweak on the Coca Cola Collaborations album.

Verb later signed up with Gallo Record Company and in 2006, dropped the anticipated Manuscript including the smash hits “Tell Me Tell Me”, “Nothin’ on me” and “Raise ‘em up”.
